FULL ITINERARY
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be collected in your private vehicle and transferred to your hotel for the night.
Drive to Tarangire National Park for a wildlife viewing after a wonderful breakfast. A large number of wild animals may be seen during the afternoon since they come to the riverbanks to drink water and there are numerous baobab trees in this park.
The Tarangire River provides a source of water for wild animals during the dry season. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park overlooking the Tarangire River before going on your second adventure of the day.
After breakfast, check out of the lodge and drive to Mto wa mbu. Mto wa Mbu ward has three cultural tourist operations: Migombani, Losirwa, and Barabarani. During the tour visit to;
- Rice and Banana Plantations
This tour lasts from 1 and 4 hours. View the creative farming practices of Mto wa Mbu locals and learn about the irrigation system to support local crops including the 32 varieties of bananas. During this tour, you will learn about the preparation of the farm “Shamba,” weeding, and harvesting.
- Local coffee plantation tour
You will go to a locally owned and operated coffee plantation to learn more about the process of getting coffee beans from the tree to your cup. Try your hand at grinding and roasting beans by hand, then reward yourself with some great, fresh coffee.
- Masai Village or Boma
A visit to a Masai Boma is a unique experience. When you arrive in the village, excited children and adults greet you with song and dance; at times, one of the dancers will gracefully jump up and down. The jumps are several feet in the air! You will be welcomed to participate in the dance as well. You will then be invited into one of the village huts (called Manyatta), which are made of cow dung and clay plastered over stick framework.
This is quite practical because the Masai have cattle herds, and the dung is always plentiful and free. One of your hosts will offer you an insight into Masai life; some of them may not speak English, but our guides will translate for you and the elders so that you may share stories.
You will check out of the lodge after breakfast in ready to go on a safari to the Serengeti National Park. As a result of its size, Serengeti National Park covers over 14,000 square kilometers of land. In addition to being Tanzania’s oldest national park, it has the world’s most complex eco-system. Flowers and animals are nearly identical to what they were hundreds of years ago.
Serengeti National Park has a lot to offer and will keep you busy for a long time. Among the finest sites to see lions, leopards, cheetah and hyenas. Seronera Valley is one of the best spots to see these huge carnivores. Elephants, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, and many other species may also be seen on any given day.
Two game drives on this day: Early in the morning before having your breakfast you will go sun-rise game drives which will take about 1-2 hours the time you will be driven back to your lodge for breakfast and short rest till lunch time. After having delicious lunch at your lodge you will go for second time game drives from afternoon till sun-set after that drive back to Lodge.
Check out of the lodge and head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area when you wake up in the morning. The crater is the exact expression. It is almost 20 kilometers wide and 600 meters deep. You may be able to see the full crater walls from the bottom if you’re lucky and it’s a clear day.
Lake Makat is a soda lake that you will explore today as you take a game drive on the crater floor. When visiting Ngorongoro Crater, you will encounter the famous Big Five – buffalos, black rhinoceroses, elephants, lions, and leopards – as well as many other wildlife. Cheetahs, zebras, hippos, serval cats, hyenas, and wildebeests are also found here.
After breakfast, drive to Lake Eyasi for a cultural trip that includes a visit to the Hadzabe people to learn about their way of life. A visit with the Bushmen is worthwhile, and they will gladly show you around their village and how they hunt.
They live solely off the land and hunt with bows. Everything they use is created locally, including their bows strung with giraffe tendon and arrows coated with lethal poison. The Hadzabe live in caves and do not use clothes, instead of covering their private regions with little strips of animal skin
After breakfast, about 8 a.m., drive to Lake Manyara National Park, passing through breathtaking views of the Great Rift Valley Escarpments. While driving, you can see Masai herding their livestock and goats. Just before entering the park, you will pass through Mto wa Mbu, a small but active settlement known for its population of up to 120 clans and its lively, colorful environment.
When you arrive in Lake Manyara, enter the park and begin your game drive through the lush forest, then out to open grassland and the lake’s side. This park’s birdlife is a bird-dream, watchers with several endemic species. You can also expect to encounter a variety of species, including impala, elephants, dik-dik, bushbuck, hippos, and, if you’re lucky, the legendary Manyara tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a day of game viewing in Lake Manyara, complete with a picnic lunch. Drive two hours to Kilimanjaro International Airport
